The heartland of America holds many wonders. There are numerous deer wandering through yards, pheasants running through the fields, hawks soaring overhead, wild turkeys sneaking by the back door, and coyotes walking along the edge of the woods. There are also miles and miles of corn fields, soybean fields, and hay fields. Along every gravel road is a cattle farm or two. Nestled in the midst of these wonders is Walking Way Farm home of Tennessee Walking Horses.

Walking Way Farm is located on a small acreage 26 miles south of Rock Island, Illinois owned by Mary and Steve Beals. Here the horses are in a herd environment where they interact and play in pastures with free access to the wooded areas of the acreage. They cross a creek daily to come to the barn where they are handled and fed. This daily interaction with people, one another, and nature contributes to their good behavior and social skills with us.

Our goal is to breed and raise the kind of horse we would want to keep personally, and we believe we have succeeded. A quality horse is one that has been bred for excellence of movement, confirmation and mind. To achieve this we begin by examining the sire and dam’s blood lines and genetics (confirmation/movement; external qualities, and personality/health; internal qualities). Our babies have championship bloodlines and great personalities.

We want to help you find a horse that will make you happy and fit your goals. With this in mind come visit us and ask questions; we will direct you to a show prospect, a colt for trail or field trials, or a pleasure horse.

* All of our horses are for sale.
